The Difference Between Being In The House Of God Conscious And Being In The Word Of God Conscious

House of God Conscious and Word of God Conscious Placard
Being in the house of God conscious depicts only occasionally being in the presence of God.

Being in the word of God conscious on the other hand depicts a continuous being in the presence of God without breaks.

I've ways told people that if I'm asked to choose just a single word out of the dictionary, the word consciousness would be the word, for the obvious reason that, no matter what we seem to know and believe, if we are not conscious of it, it would almost be as if we didn't know or we never knew.

I want to believe that one of the greatest desires of a Christian should be to always continuously be in the presence of God. If for no better reason, it would be for the sole reason as stated in

2 Corinthians  3:17b "and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." And also in

Psalms  97:5a "The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD"

Psalms  16:11b "in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand, there are pleasures for evermore."

Recall the time God asked Moses to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt and to a promised land that he would show him. At mount Horeb, in the Tabernacle, God was having a conversation with Moses to continue his journey and God said to Moses in

Exodus  33:14 "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." And Moses responding to God said in the next verse of the same book

Exodus  33:15 "And he said unto him, If thy presence goes not with me, carry us not up hence." Moses, like every other Christian, knows the importance of the presence of God by and around him.

David says in Psalms  51:11 "Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me."

One of the times a man hides from the presence of the lord is in

Genesis  3:8 "And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden."

Adam and Eve seemed and felt different and for that reason, the only thing that came to their minds as they heard God's footsteps walking was to hide themselves.

I believe that what differentiated the Christian from other people is the presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian. Other than that, a Christian is also just a mere man.

At old, the Spirit of God comes and goes on his children. After when Jesus Christ died, resurrected and ascended, the Holy Spirit that carries the presence of God now dwells in, around and upon any person who believes and confesses him as his Lord and Saviour. When the person said, "come into my heart" the Holy Spirit brought the presence of the Lord into that person. Our consciousness of His presence in our lives will determine the effectiveness of His working in our lives.

However, how we say this verse of the Bible below as Christians most times reveals what we are more conscious of. Whether we are more conscious of the house of God in our lives or whether we are more conscious of the Word of God in our lives. Here is the verse.

Psalms  23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

The Implication Of Being In The House Of God Conscious.

Christians who are in the house of God conscious first of all are trying to unconsciously imply that it is only in the Church that the presence of God exists and when you are going to Church, you are going into the presence of God so, therefore, you must appear in a certain way.

The implication here is that, if this category of  Christians is unconsciously implying that God only exists in Church then they are also unconsciously implying that God is not existing in other places like their homes or on the roads.

These are the category of Christians who have placed a must as to how they must appear when going into the presence (house) of God.

I will explain, here, I'm not referring to decency or indecent dressing as the case may be. Let's take, for instance, those Christians who must tie their hair or completely cover their head before going to Church.

If when going into the presence of God, you must tie your hair or completely cover your head, this means that anytime you are not tying your hair or completely covering your head, you are indirectly telling God that, God I'm not in your presence that's why I didn't cover my heard or God, your presence is not here that's why I didn't cover my head.

This also means that whenever you are not in the presence of God, God's protection over your life is not there. Meaning, all the benefits Christian enjoy in the presence of God, you will not enjoy because you are not in His Presence.

This would mean that, on the road, an accident can happen to you simply because you've become a mere person for not covering your head. How about in your house, anything tragic can happen to you because your head is not covered. How about when you sleep? Do you cover your head every time? The answer is no. So on that note, you've declared yourself to be out of God's presence and therefore, the powers of darkness can have dominion over you in your sleep.

I've always told people that, if there is a thing I'm required to must do before I should enter the house (presence) of God, then that is a thing I will do without a break because I always want to be in the presence of God. For example, if wearing caps in Church for men is prohibited, then at no point in my life shall anyone see me wear a cap. This means also that I will not even join groups or organisations that would require me to wear a cap as I will never want to be out of God's presence, not even for a second.

Let's not forget that in the presence of the Lord, there's protection. Meaning, outside the presence of the Lord, protection is not guaranteed. What kind of Christian wants to be in the presence of the Lord sometimes and not be in the presence of the lord sometimes?

The Implication Of Being In The Word Of God Conscious.

The Bible at some point even says in Matthew  18:20  "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

The above verse of the Bible is not even the point. The point is what Matthew  28:20b "and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Some translations say, "I will be with you always"

When we are conscious that God is with us always, we cannot say we are going into the presence of God so We have to appear in a particular way. We know that he's with us always, in the show when you are completely without clothes, in the bedroom when you are not covering your head, in the seating room when you wear only scanty clothes, on the road and so on.

I know we have a responsibility to not make or help others sin with anything we do like as the Bible says in 1 Corinthians  8:9 "But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak." The emphasis is more on the consciousness of our relationship with God. Our consciousness should be on the fact that he is with us always and if He is with us always, we shouldn't feel that there are times we stroll out of the presence of God and there are times we stroll into the presence of God.

Christians who are conscious that he is with us always are Christians who are conscious that we dwell in his presence always. These are also Christians who are conscious that He lives in us, He lives through us and these are Christians who consciously recite the verse of the Bible of the book of Psalms  23:6 as "Surely goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life: and I shall dwell in the Word of the LORD forever and ever.

Imagine travelling in a bus, a lady got up to pray, she covers her uncovered head and prayed. After prayer, she uncovered her head again. To me, she had declared that God I want to talk with you, come. And then when she was done, she discharged God because of the consciousness of covering and uncovering her head.

Anything I cannot or shouldn't wear to the house of God, I shouldn't wear anywhere too because I believe that I'm in the presence of God 247, 365 or as the case may be.

NYSC SCHEME - Poem

By Costly Oma .  Written In 2013.  First Published: Feb. 2014. 1.  An idea was birthed,  And into action, it sprung. Since from Nineteen Seventy-Three, Youths have been shuffled. 2. With a call, we moved A call to serve, our best to render, A call to give, our best to offer. A call to keep one Nigeria 3. Under the sun, we matched. In the rain, no difference. When it’s bright and clear, And otherwise, we answer. 4. A call like no other, Beginning with a journey, Then living three weeks in exclusion, Learning new things in new style. 5. A call so anticipated, Becomes so tiring with time, Then feels it should be extended but boring, Yet memories linger. 6. With the hope of National unity, It was birthed.  I hope that its cause has not been tilted, For sacrifices have been made. 7. NYSC SCHEME, We hope that your aim we achieve, For your call we heard, And your rules we kept. #nyscpoem #nyscschemepoem #scheme #nysc #poems #nationalyouthservice #nationalyouthservicecorp ##nationalyouthservic

My Death-Feelings So Far – Part 1

By Costly Oma . My Death Encounter Part - 1. ~~My Body Leaving My Body~~ Sometime in the first quarter of the year 2018, around 4 AM in the morning, while I was still in bed, I was woken up by a strong presence of what I can call death. I felt this chilled cold sweep past me, from the soul of my feet to the crown of my head. It was so dramatic as I feel like the cold was swallowing me, starting from the soul of my feet to the crown of my head. As I got completely engulfed by the cold, I woke up. I woke up and got down from the bed but I was still seeing myself lying on the bed. I stood up but it felt like I wasn’t the one standing as I was seeing another me lying in bed. I was obviously at this point confused as to what was happening as I am both standing and lying down at the same time. As I was yet to get my mind organised as to what was happening, I saw a thick dark cloud forming at the westside wall of the room. This thick dark cloud looks so dirty and it smells so bad. As this cl

My Life Experiences And Quotes

By Costly Oma . Life has a way of Teaching, Taming and training humans. All of these life's teachings could be termed as Life's Experiences and everyone has had a measure of them. No two individuals have the same sets of life experiences in their entirety since no two people have been known to have been subjected to the same sets of living in all ramifications since our life's experiences are how we live based. I've got some of my life experiences compiled. I hope they give you something to think about as you go through them one after the other. In the cause of life, I've come to learn the following:  My father would always say; Make sure you know all there is to know. If you want something done well, do it yourself. He that rests, rusts. Education without morality is like tea without sugar. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. People generally, hardly mean what they say but women are more so. And he warns; be extremely careful on how you execute women's de

Be Inspired - Story Of An Elephant and a Dog

An elephant and a dog became pregnant at the same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued. On the eighteenth month, the dog approached the elephant questioning, "Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. What's going on?" The elephant replied, "There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I'm carrying is mighty and great." Don't lose faith when you see others receive answers to their prayers. Don't be e

There Are No Ordinary Words.

60% of all human communication is Nonverbal, meaning body language. 30% comes from the Tone in our voice. This means that what is really coming out of our mouths is just 10%. By   Costly Oma .  Our Words are like Bullets So To Say In a world where everyone has something to say and we are all saying one thing or the other, it is pertinent that we all learn and know or become aware of how to choose our words carefully and the tone in our voice correctly anytime we are engaging in a conversation knowing that for the message to be communicated accurately, there must be sound, and tones make up sounds and sounds come in words in conversation. Here is something I call the right choice of words. When the tone is right, the sound is right and when words are carefully chosen, communication is excellent. Don’t you want to get to that point? For me, I always want to be there. In this article, we will be learning the importance of choosing our words and the tone of our voice correctly when engagin

Choosing The Sex Of Your Baby.

The Shettle's Method By Costly Oma . This post is all about having the knowledge that will enable us to choose the sex of our babies. That is, having the knowledge to choose whether as couples, we want to have a male child or we want to have a female child at any time that we want to add a child to the family.  This method of course is Shettle's method of choosing the sex of our babies. It is called the Shettle's method because the method was named after the person who invented it  Landrum B. Shettles in the 1960s. This Shettle's method was published in the book How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby , coauthored by Shettles and David Rorvik . The book How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby was first published in 1971 and has been in print in various editions ever since. Although this method has been said to not have strong scientific proof, people who have followed the method have testified to have been able to choose the sex of the baby they want to have and they said that
