Some of us are living in a constant state of confusion daily without knowing. Anyone from the standpoint of foolishness never knows that he is there. It is said that just at the point of realization that anyone has been acting foolishly is wisdom on its own. Therefore when once people realize that they act foolishly on any subject matter, they are already becoming wise about the subject matter. This is just for emphasis. Behaviours and the interpretations of behaviours by others are relative. We all struggle in this light and I'm no exception.
There are not many things as worse as someone not knowing and he does not know that he does not know, because, in that state, correction is almost impossible. The inability of someone to not know that he does not know when he does not know is one of the worse states anyone can find his or herself in life. The point of change they say is the point of realization.
Now with the constant state of confusion that people live daily without knowing. How can someone; let’s say person A calls Person B fool and wise at almost the same time (one minute fool and the other minute wise). We call someone an idiot at one minute and call the same person intelligent at another minute. We call someone rubbish and later say to the person that you are the best and so on. What a life.
I can only imagine what might be going through your mind right now because I think that most of us have seen so many of such situations and have experienced them to the full. You may have also gotten very used to it and if care Is not taken, you are even well Involved in this life. They call it jokes, some people say they’re just playing, and say I didn't mean that. Others say it's one of the funs of friendship. Do you know what I call it? I call it unconscious self-inflicted confusion. It is far worse than being crazy. It is the madness of the highest order.
Do we know the importance and the efficacy of words? In the realm of words, there is nothing like a joke. The words we speak (whether we believe it or not, whether we are joking or not) are life, they are real (nothing can be more real) and they are powerful. They live, they don't die nor fade. They wait patiently to accomplish the purpose to which they were sent.
We don't have to believe in the force of gravity for it to take effect on us. It is holding us to the earth right now. It doesn’t matter whether or not we believe it. In one of the seminars on positive living, I attended in 2009. A lady (an authority from the US) said if anyone ever says to you that you can't (in anything), make sure you say you can for at least nine times to nullify that which the person has said. An ordinary you can't? Someone may ask. Words are powerful. Let's not use our words to destroy our ignorant selves and ignorant friends and pals with causes. We know ourselves; our tongue drives the course of our lives.
We can go on and on about words and their efficacy, but as they say, a word is enough for the wise. Even though everyone is not expected to be wise, there is a level that is expected of everyone.
We should try not be cursing people in the name of being friendly or trying to joke. Words are as powerful as anything we know as powerful. See There Are No Ordinary Words.
Let's choose to bless instead of to cause and if you find it difficult to bless, just remain quiet for the most part until otherwise.
